Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey automation can even pose a threat to junior programming

The rise of artificial intelligence (AI) will even make software engineers no longer popular. According to twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, this is because AI will soon write its own software. This will put some junior software engineers in trouble.

In a podcast interview with Democratic candidate Andrew Yang before the US election Thursday, Dorsey said AI “will even replace programming.”. “Many of the goals of machine learning and deep learning are to write the software itself over time, so a lot of primary programming will no longer be so important,” says Dorsey.

At present, software engineers are often highly paid and sought after. According to Glassdoor, a job site, software engineers are the seventh best jobs in the United States in 2020, with a median base salary of $105563.

Dorsey told Yang Anze, who supports the national basic wage, that if people lose their income due to automation, such free cash payment may become the “bottom line” on which people depend for survival.

Dolsey said the monthly allowance would “reassure” laid-off workers who would be able to “feed their children” while learning new skills to adapt to the changes in the new world. Dorsey said the national basic wage is not an excuse for not working, but a lifeline.

Critics of the national basic wage argue that the national basic wage consumes too much money, at the same time, it suppresses people’s motivation to find jobs, thus eliminating people’s sense of purpose in society.
